Meyer / Fischer / Noack

The sculptor Hans Jacob Meyer (1907-1993) from Bergen is presented together with his Danish colleagues Adam Fischer (1888-1968) and Astrid Noack (1888-1954). The exhibition is a collaboration between The Vigeland Museum and Bergen Art Museum.

In 1926 Hans Jacob Meyer travelled to Maison Watteau, the famous Scandinavian academy in Paris, where he developed close friendships with Noack and Fischer. All three worked within the classic figurative tradition.
