István Lisztes works with figurative sculptures of the human body in a simplified formal language. The sculptures are often placed together so that they communicate both with each other and with the surrounding space. They can therefore be regarded as installations. The Vigeland Museum is exhibiting works by Lisztes in plaster and bronze from the period 1988-2006.

Lisztes is a graduate of the Art Gymnasium in Hungary, the Academy of Arts in Budapest and the University of Budapest, where he read Philosophy and Aesthetics. He lives and works in Oslo.
