Photo Archive

The Vigeland Museum's Photo Archive consists of new photographs of Gustav Vigeland's sculptures as well as older photographs documenting Vigeland's work on the sculptures, Vigeland studio, construction work in the Vigeland Sculpture Park, and more.

It is possible to rent high-resolution digital images from the museum. Please contact the museum at postmottak.vigeland@vigeland.museum  for more information about prices and conditions.

All photos are protected by copyright laws and must not be reproduced without the consent of the Vigeland Museum.

The historical material consists of 5052 glass plate negatives in addition to a large number of photographs on paper. During 2009, the glass plates were digitized, and these photographs will eventually be made available to the public on our website. Temporarily, we present here a small selection from the collection:
