Organisation

The Vigeland Museum is a part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs in The City of Oslo. The Agency of Cultural Affairs was established the 1 April 2008, after the Agency of Culture and Sport Facilities was splitted in two different departements. The Agency for Cultural Affairs wants, as The City of Oslo's "adventure departement", to give the capitol a qualitative, diversitive and traditional proposition of culture.

The Vigeland Museum belongs to the Agency of Cultural Affair's section Art, who has the responsibility of concervation, research and education at The Vigeland Museum with the sculptures in the Vigeland Park.
