Vigeland i atelieret / Vigeland in his studio

Among the Vigeland Museum's main tasks, is research on Gustav Vigeland. This activity is presented through both exhibitions and publications. For the Museum, it is important to have different views and approaches towards Vigeland's life and work. Both the employees of the Museum and external curators are responsible for research and exhibitions.

In the recent years, the Museum has presented various exhibitions and publications on Vigeland. In particular we would like to emphasise "Sett av Gustav Vigeland" (2005) by Anne Høegh Brand, who also published a text in connection with the exhibition;  "Vigeland's Ibsen" (2006); "Vigeland's Wergeland" (2008) with publication by curator Trine Otte Bak Nielsen og "Gustav Vigelands Separat-Udstilling 1894" (2008) with a publication written by the Museum's curators Guri Skuggen og Trine Otte Bak Nielsen.
